Automations
Set up recurring AI-powered workflows that run on your schedule.
Automations
Hand off your most repetitive work - weekly SEO reports, daily competitor checks, monthly content calendars - and have it done automatically. You define the task once, set a schedule, and Hubi takes it from there. Automations live in your Brain and are what put a Job on autopilot.
How Automations Work
Each automation has three core parts:
- Execution prompt - The standing instruction Hubi runs each time: "Every Monday, compile a report on our top five competitors' new content."
- Schedule - When and how often it runs: daily, weekly, monthly, or a custom cadence.
- Approval flow - Whether Hubi executes automatically or waits for your sign-off first.
Creating an Automation
Method 1 - Chat with Hubi (fastest): Just describe what you want. "Create an automation that sends me a weekly competitor analysis every Monday morning." Hubi walks you through naming it, confirming the prompt, and setting the schedule.
Method 2 - From the Brain: Open Brain, find the Automations area, create a new automation, write the execution prompt, set the schedule, choose an approval mode, and save.
Tips for execution prompts: Be specific. State the output format you want, reference data sources or integrations, and include any constraints like length, structure, or tone.
Schedule Options
- Daily - Every day at a set time.
- Weekly - A chosen day of the week.
- Monthly - A specific date each month.
- Custom - Cron-style cadence for advanced scheduling.
Times follow your workspace timezone, which you can change in Settings.
Managing Automations
From the Automations area in your Brain:
- Edit - Update the name, prompt, schedule, or approval flow. Changes take effect on the next run.
- Run history - See every past execution with timestamp, status, and output summary.
- Ask Hubi - Open a conversation with the automation's context to improve or troubleshoot it.
- Pause or resume - Temporarily stop scheduled runs without deleting anything.
- Delete - Permanently remove the automation and its run history.
Every automation run also appears in your Calendar.
Plan Requirement
Scheduled automations are available on paid plans (Starter and up). See Settings for what each plan includes.
