Getting Started

Set up your workspace, connect a channel, and put Hubi to work in a few minutes.

Getting Started

Getting up and running with Hubi takes a few minutes. There are three ways in - pick the one that matches how you arrived.

Three Ways to Start

EntryWhat happens
Sign up normallyThe setup wizard below: a few questions about your business, then a channel and your first job.
Start from SEOPaste your website and Hubi audits it before you have an account. You keep the result by giving an email. See SEO.
Start from SalesPaste your website and Hubi works out who you sell to and finds real companies. Same deal - the account comes after. See Sales.

Starting from SEO or Sales does not lock you out of anything. You can run one of those flows later on a workspace you already have, and the folder is added to your existing Brain.

1. Tell Hubi About Your Company

The wizard asks a short set of questions so Hubi can tailor its work:

  1. Your name.
  2. Your company - what it is called, the country you are in, and the language Hubi should use with you.
  3. How long it has been running - from "just planning" through "over 2 years".
  4. What kind of business it is - e-commerce, services, or something else.
  5. Who you sell to - other businesses, individual people, or both.
  6. Your website - Hubi reads it to learn your brand. You can say you do not have one and add it later.

This seeds your workspace Brain, so every conversation starts with context. Depending on your workspace, Hubi may ask you to sign in before the wizard or right after it - either way it takes one click with Google or Slack, or your email address.

2. Connect a Channel

Next, Hubi offers to live where your team already works:

  • Slack - authorize Hubi in the window that opens, then choose whether to invite it to all public channels or select channels. You can change this later and remove Hubi from any channel at any time.
  • Microsoft Teams - install Hubi from Teams, then send Hubi the setup command shown in Capabilities > Integrations. Available where it is enabled for your workspace.
  • Web and mobile - always available, no setup needed.

Connecting Slack also earns your workspace bonus credits.

3. Pick Your First Job

Hubi shows a set of ready-made Jobs matched to the business you described. Pick one and Hubi drafts it and opens the setup wizard, or skip and start with a conversation instead.

4. Start Working

The sidebar is your home base:

  • Home - the Goals, Ask Hubi, and Jobs tabs.
  • Brain - Jobs, Professions (SEO, Sales, Brand), Channels, Knowledge, and Preferences.
  • Your chats - recent, action needed, or browsed by category.
  • Usage - where the credits go (owners and admins).
  • Capabilities - Integrations, Skills, MCP, Automations, Credentials, and API.
  • Calendar - scheduled tasks and upcoming runs.
  • Settings - account, billing, language, and notifications.

In Slack or Teams, mention @Hubi or DM it like any teammate.

A Note on Your Email

Hubi asks for your email address before your first message if it does not have one yet. That is what lets it reach you when work finishes in the background - a search that takes minutes, a report that lands tomorrow morning - and what keeps your workspace attached to you rather than to one browser.

Troubleshooting

  • Slack connection cancelled? Start it again anytime from the same screen or from Capabilities > Integrations.
  • Hubi not responding in a channel? Make sure @Hubi has been invited to that channel.
  • Teams install blocked? Manual upload depends on your tenant's Teams app policy. Ask your Microsoft 365 admin, or use the "Open in Microsoft Teams" link, which lets Teams handle install and permissions.
  • Credit limit reached? Open Settings > Billing to add credits or upgrade your plan.
  • Need help? Use the in-app help option or email [email protected].
