Sales
Who to sell to, which companies to contact, and the emails that reach them.
Sales
Hubi's outbound work lives in the Sales folder of your Brain. Hubi reads your website, works out who you sell to, finds real companies that match, gets contact details, and drafts the emails.
Open it from the dashboard sidebar: Brain > Professions > Sales.
How It Starts
Hubi builds the folder from your domain. That happens automatically if you came in through the sales flow on the website, and you can start or re-run it from the folder itself.
Two things are built:
- Who to sell to - the audience groups Hubi read off your site.
- Companies to contact - real companies matching those groups, with what they do, where they are, how big they are, and why each one is on the list.
Contact details are added at this point too: for the companies you kept, Hubi looks up people and verified email addresses. A company either carries a real address or says no verified email found. Hubi never guesses one.
Who to Sell To
Each audience row is a group a salesperson would recognise - "Cosmetics and household brands", say - with what that group would buy, the page on your site the group was read from, and how many companies on the public register match it.
Rows are marked by how well your own site backs them up:
- Strong and Good - read off what your site actually says.
- Guess - Hubi is extrapolating. It says so rather than presenting it with false confidence.
This file is an input as well as an output. Edit it, then use Run again on the folder, and Hubi searches for the corrected audiences instead. There is also an Improve who we target button on the file: Hubi asks two or three short questions about what feels off and sharpens the definitions with you.
Companies to Contact
A table, one row per company: name, domain, what they do, size, location, the contact and their verified email where one was found, the reason this company is worth writing to, and the action to take.
The domain is always there, which is what lets Hubi act on any row without asking you to look something up.
Writing the Emails
The Write emails to these companies button on the file drafts a short, personal email for each company - in your website's language, referencing what that company does and why you are relevant to them.
Every draft is shown to you. Hubi sends only after you approve that exact draft. If you have no email integration connected, Hubi either helps you connect one or hands you the drafts to send yourself.
Hubi also reads the How We Sell section of the folder's guidance before drafting, so your positioning and rules carry into every email. See Preferences.
Searching for More
Beyond the folder, ask Hubi directly in any conversation:
"Find contacts at SaaS companies in San Francisco with 50 to 200 employees, targeting VPs of Marketing."
A search runs in the background because a full one takes minutes. Hubi tells you it has started and where the result will land:
- On the web and mobile, the results card in the chat fills in on its own.
- In Slack or Teams, Hubi posts the results as a reply in the same thread when the search finishes.
Repeating an identical search returns an identical list, so when you ask for more Hubi moves to the next page of results and excludes the companies you have already seen.
Your Ideal Customer Profile
Personas are worth defining once. Hubi keeps them in an Ideal Customer Profile file in the Sales folder and reads it before asking you anything, so later searches only ask about what is missing. After a search you defined personas for, Hubi offers to save them.
Plan Note
Sales work draws on your workspace credits like any other work. On workspaces where profession plans are enabled, Sales is one of the professions you can buy outright. See Settings.
