Jobs

A Job is a task you hand to Hubi. You describe the outcome, answer a short wizard, and from then on Hubi runs it on the schedule you set and delivers the result where you asked - a Slack channel or your email.

Jobs live in your Brain. Open the Jobs tab on the home dashboard, or find them in the Brain under Jobs.

You may still see Jobs labeled "Playbooks" in a few screens. They are the same thing.

Three Ways to Start One

Describe it. On the Jobs tab, describe the outcome you want in the box - "Draft and schedule our weekly LinkedIn posts". Hubi drafts the job while you watch and opens the wizard.

Turn a conversation into one. When a chat starts sounding like standing work, Hubi tracks how well the conversation describes a job. A meter appears above the composer reading Job description: not enough yet / getting there / good enough / complete, with a Make it a job button that unlocks at good enough. Hubi asks the questions that fill the gaps, so the meter climbs as you answer.

Pick a template. The Jobs tab shows ready-made jobs by category. Pick one and its skill and cadence are filled in for you.

The Setup Wizard

The wizard adapts to your job, so not every job shows every step.

1. Goal - what the job does on every run, plus the integrations it will rely on. Shown when the job came from a conversation or a template. Confirm it or edit the text.
2. How should Hubi deliver results? - Slack or Email. This is the delivery method, not the channel picker.
3. Use integrations - the apps Hubi suggested for this job. Connect them here, or skip and add them later.
4. Create skill - the instructions Hubi follows. Chat it through with Hubi, or start from a template's ready-made instructions. See Skills.
5. Where should Hubi work? - the Slack channel Hubi posts in. Remember to invite @Hubi to that channel in Slack.
6. Additional knowledge (optional) - Brain folders and files this job should read from every run.
7. How often Hubi should perform this job? - from only on request through monthly, weekly, weekends, daily, and down to every 15 or 10 minutes. Cadences of once a day or less also let you pick a time of day.
8. Ready to test the job? - Hubi runs it once and delivers the result through the channel you picked, so you see the real output before it goes live.
9. Activate the job - the job starts running on its schedule.

Steps that do not apply can be marked "not relevant", and most tick themselves off the moment the real thing exists.

Active vs. Needs Setup

• Needs setup - the job still has open steps. Open it and finish them.
• Active - every step is done and Hubi is running the job on its own.

The Brain home shows a progress summary so you can see how many of your jobs are live at a glance.

Editing a Job

Open any job to change its goal, its skill, its schedule, or where it delivers. Editing the goal is a plain text box - rewrite it and save. You can also replace a job's goal with a conversation: attach the chat, and the same readiness meter tells you whether it is detailed enough to use.

Jobs Created for You

Some jobs are created without a wizard. The Automate step of an SEO goal creates its job directly - "Publish blog post weekly", "Manage backlinks monthly", "Re-check AI visibility weekly" - already configured.

Where Jobs Run

• Web dashboard - create and manage jobs from the home dashboard or the Brain.
• Mobile - the same jobs list and wizard in the Hubi app.
• Shopify admin - merchants can run jobs without leaving Shopify. See Shopify.
