Get Found on Google

Work the Google goal end to end - read the plans, publish articles, earn backlinks, then put it on a schedule.

Get Found on Google

Get found on Google is one of the two goals in your SEO folder. Every article you publish is a page Google can show your buyers, and every link from a site that already ranks makes those pages count for more. Here is the whole goal, step by step.

Open Brain > Professions > SEO, or the Goals tab on your home dashboard, and expand Get found on Google.

Analyze - Read What Hubi Found

Two files, both written from your own site. Opening them is the step.

Blog Content Plan holds the articles to write: each with its target keyword, the angle, and the date it is scheduled for. The closing Keywords this plan is built on section is the research it was built from, with search volumes.

Backlink Plan holds who links to the sites ranking above you and where your link profile falls short. It carries no list of sites to pitch, and that is deliberate - a list written weeks ago goes stale, so the targets are worked out fresh at the moment outreach starts.

Act - Publish New Blog Posts

Select Publish new blog posts, or open the Blog Content Plan and use Write my first articles.

Hubi starts with the earliest scheduled piece and writes it in full, in the language of the plan, applying your article voice automatically. Each article opens on the canvas and is filed in your Brain. You get three lines back:

Written: How to choose a warehouse management system
Target "warehouse management system" (2,400/mo) · publishes 14 May · 1 of 12 in the plan
Read it on the canvas. Use Publish when it's ready.

Read it, ask for changes in the thread, then publish. Say "next" and Hubi writes the following piece.

Nothing counts for search until an article is live. Hubi will keep writing if you want a stack of drafts first, but it will say so once.

To change how articles read, open How your articles should sound and edit it, or ask Hubi to refine it with you. It is applied to every article from then on.

Act - Outreach for Backlinks

Select Outreach for backlinks, or open the Backlink Plan and use Start getting backlinks from related sites.

Hubi works out the subjects your site should be found for, finds the sites publishing on them, checks which ones can be reached, and drafts the first pitch. It comes back once, with everything:

  • Listings to claim - no permission needed, so Hubi submits them itself. Only one that wants an account, a payment, or a captcha comes back to you as a link.
  • Reachable by email - the site, the address, and the measured reason it is worth asking.
  • Reachable through their form - no published address, so the same pitch goes through their contact form.
  • Can't reach yet - neither an address nor a form.
  • The first pitch - subject and body, short and personal, in the site's language.

Approve the first one, then let Hubi send the rest in one batch. Nothing goes out without your say-so.

Connect Gmail from Capabilities > Integrations if you want Hubi to send the addressed pitches. Without it you can still copy the drafts and send them yourself, and the contact-form sites and listings go out regardless.

Automate - Keep It Running

Two steps close the goal:

  • Publish blog post weekly - a Job that writes and publishes the next article every week.
  • Manage backlinks monthly - a Job that finds fresh prospects and prepares the pitches every month.

Select either one and Hubi creates the Job for you. Your plans also add their own entries to the Calendar: one Create task per article and one Prepare outreach task per prospect.

Doing It from Slack or Teams

No screen needed. Ask in the channel:

"@Hubi let's write the first articles from my blog plan."

"@Hubi let's start getting backlinks."

Hubi runs the same steps and replies in the thread, with a link to the file in the Brain when there is something to read.

Tips

  • Publish one article before stacking drafts. It is the point where the work starts counting.
  • Fill in what you cannot say. The SEO folder's Preferences carry a What we cannot say section - titles you do not hold, claims you cannot make. Hubi treats every line there as a hard rule for keywords, articles, and pitches.
  • Check the competitor set. The Backlink Plan records where its competitors came from. If they are not the right ones, tell Hubi and it rebuilds the list around the ones you name.
