Guidance & Learnings

Without memory, every conversation starts from scratch. With it, Hubi remembers your brand voice, your audience, your rules, and the way you like to work - automatically, in every chat.

Hubi's memory has two parts, both inside your Brain:

• Guidance you write yourself, kept in Preferences files - yours, the workspace's, or a specific folder's.
• Learnings Hubi picks up on its own as you chat - corrections, preferences, and facts worth keeping - stored as their own entries, separate from Preferences.

Either way, your own guidance always wins. If a Learning ever conflicts with something you have written yourself, or said in the moment, Hubi follows you first.

How Learnings Get Captured

As you chat - in the dashboard, Slack, or Teams - Hubi notices things worth remembering without you having to ask: a correction ("no, we mean the snapshot file, not the API flag"), a stated preference, or a stable fact about you or your team. Each one is recorded with what it is, who said it, and when.

• A message that produced a Learning shows a small Learned marker in the web chat.
• In Slack, Hubi reacts with a 🧠 emoji on the message it learned from.

Asking Hubi Directly

You do not have to wait for Hubi to notice something on its own - just ask. Say "remember that we ship on Fridays" and Hubi saves it as a Learning right away, marked so it ranks above anything it picked up by itself. Change your mind? Say "forget that" and Hubi removes it - and will not pick the same fact back up later.

If you ask Hubi to "save this to guidance," it saves the fact as a Learning and lets you know that Guidance itself is something you write yourself, in your Preferences files.

Learnings features are rolling out gradually and may not be enabled for your workspace yet.

Where Learnings Live

• Personal facts and preferences are scoped to you.
• Team-wide facts are scoped to the whole workspace.
• Conversations in a connected Slack or Teams channel are scoped to that channel's own folder, so each channel builds up its own context over time - separate from the rest of your workspace.

Reviewing and Cleaning Up

Open Brain in the dashboard sidebar, then open the Learnings view to see everything Hubi has picked up, filterable by folder and kind. A Learning that conflicts with something written in your Guidance carries a Conflicts with guidance badge - Guidance always wins, so treat the badge as a nudge to check whether that guidance is out of date. Delete anything wrong or outdated - once removed, Hubi will not re-learn the same fact later.
